    I tried this module without antenna and encoders just for blinking LED using 2 Arduino Uno boards. Range is pretty good without antenna as well.(around 2 feet by inserting Tx, Rx antenna in breadboard). I tried this for getting the minimum range of this module.( Don't use your module like this as your antenna signal power will drastically reduce due to high frequencies).

    The product looked OK, so I didn't test it within the return period. Afterwards found that it does not work. I have used it to make a DIY project of a RF transmitter using ICs HT12E & HT12D (same seller) along with these transmitter and receiver modules. Though the encoder & decoder ICs are OK, the transmitter & receiver modules are not. Thoroughly disappointed. Would advise other buyers to test the same right after delivery. My one star rating is merely out of compulsion, as lower rating is not available!
