- Reviewed in the United States on August 13, 2023Color: 2 PackVerified PurchaseDoes what I need to do. I can turn on and off my Raspberry Pi as needed without worrying about wearing up the USB-b plug in the board.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 11, 2017Color: 1 PackVerified PurchaseDoes what it advertises. I use this on my Raspberry Pi which I turned into a home gaming system. I hated that some lights were still on after turning off the Pi. Also, this way I can unplug the wall cable from this extender and use it to charge other devices without running the risk of damaging my Pi (from unplugging then plugging it back in too many times). You still have to shut down your Pi first. If you just flip the switch its like pulling the plug on your desktop computer. Not at all good for the system!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 5, 2017Color: 1 PackVerified PurchaseThis does exactly what you would think. Using a Raspberry Pi micro PC, there is no traditional power switch so I bought this as an alternative to completely shut down the PC. It does exactly what I wanted it to and for a very reasonable price.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 23, 2024Color: 2 PackVerified PurchaseWhile they do work, I did end up having a either a voltage or amperage problem. It doesn't put through the entire power, so I would occasionally receive the lightning bolt on the screen, which is an indicator of low power. I had to stop using it with my Pi 3B+, which works just fine with the same power supply, but without the switch.
It does work well with my Pi Zero W and Zero 2 W though. Those two require less power than the 3B+, so enough gets through for them.
Evidently the power problem isn't rare when using this, as others have noted the same thing in their reviews for this product.
Update (10/10/2024): I got a low power notification while using one with my Pi Zero 2 W. I subsequently trashed both of them. IMHO, they're junk, and not worth the possible damage they could cause to the unit.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 27, 2023Color: 1 PackVerified PurchaseI recently acquired a good but somewhat basic Qi charging stand, and I wasn't 100% sure it was smart enough to prevent over-charging. I picked up this little on-off extension cable so I could be sure that it was off when I didn't want or need my phone to charge. I've been using this for a few weeks now, and it's great. Now I think I might need one for a couple other applications where I want the ability to switch something on or off and be sure it's OFF -- maybe like smart stuff that sometimes seems a little _too_ smart for its virtual-britches.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 15, 2024Color: 1 PackVerified PurchaseThis product has an inaccurate description and does not fit my Raspberry Pi, I find it hard to believe that they want me to return this for a $5 credit when in the past Amazon has had me keep stuff that cost over $30.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2023Color: 1 PackVerified PurchaseI haven't had this long, so my guess on durability is just that, a guess, but the switch does the job it was meant to, turns power on and off to the USB-Micro B side. That is the important part.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2017Color: 1 PackVerified PurchaseThese little gadgets are a MUST if you have a Raspberry Pi. It allows you to pore it off without wearing out the socket on your Pi. Replacig this pigtail if it starts to wear out at the female end it very cost effective compared to either replacing you Pi or trying to replace the socket on the Pi.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome little switch - again
Color: 1 PackVerified PurchaseI have now bought two more of these as I use this to operate cooling fans in a Stormtrooper helmets and they work flawlessly. The switch casing is perfect for fixing Velcro and being of low profile it can be placed just inside the bottom rim of the helmet so it is really easy to access the on/off switch. I will definitely be continuing to buy these again in the future.

5.0 out of 5 stars Comodo ma costoso

5.0 out of 5 stars Sehr solide, funktioniert einwandfrei.
Klare Kaufempfehlung!

5.0 out of 5 stars Adaptador perfecto para la Raspberry Pi 3

5.0 out of 5 stars Ein Muss für jeden Raspberry-PI Benutzer
Schalter funktioniert einwandfrei, Lieferung erfolgte prompt.
