    Tape that works!
    My MacBook charger was starting to get frayed. I’d plug it in and the battery would be “plugged in” but not “charging”. I refuse to waste $80 buying yet another power adapter so I did some research which suggested silicon tape over electric tape. Ordered this and have been really pleased.First time using silicon tape, instructions come with it. Not too tricky because the “tape” isn’t sticky at all in your fingers but it sticks to itself. I did a bit of a hack job because I was impatient, but it worked, and my computer now charges again, so I’m happy. I overestimated how much tape I’d use the first time but a little bit goes a long way. Apple cords and wires seem to have an uncanny ability to fray and fall apart the second AppleCare expires, so I’m sure I’ll be using this more in the future.

      My CV boot on my truck axle cracked and grease was leaking. After I injected some grease in the boot, I used this tape to wrap the boot. Due to the shape of the boot, it takes trial and error to get it right. You will have to wrap it around many times caused you don't want it to come off when the axle spins at high velocity. After the tape bond, for good measure, I used zip tie just in case the tape come off. Its been nearly a year and 1500+ miles later, its still holding well and no leak. Hopefully it will last sometime before I permanently replace the axle.

      This is the BEST I have bought EVER! Fridge water line(copper) got a kink in it and water leaked/sprayed everywhere! This tape was EXTREMELY stretchable, VERY THICK & didnt rip at all!!! It auto fused itself together once wrapped and did NOT come Apart! If you want to remove it onse wrapped...your gonna have to cut it bc it will NOT unravel, which is a great thing!!! This fixed my copper pipe to the point i didn't have to worry about it again. No leak, no drip, nada.       I probably did not use this product correctly.
      So I did not want to mark it down for what went wrong with it.
      I had a pull down faucet tubing that cracked, and I thought this would help, but it was too thick and the faucet would not go back into the sink, also due to the crack in the tubing, the water just found another entry to the already compromised tubing.
      Didn't work for my purposes BUT great product! Easy to use, stays stuck, easy to re-apply and stretch.

      Who needs adhesive tapes for split hoses and vacuum cords ? This stuff sticks to itself with a tight/stretchable wrap. Instead of replacing my vacuum cord that got caught up in vacuum roller brush, I simply wrapped about six inches of this stuff in a barber-shop spiral -- that was three years ago -- and it's still holding up perfectly. Doesn't unwrap or come loose after all this time. Works just as well on hoses -- spring a leak ?? just use it the same way using about a 12 inch piece for plenty of wrap area -- no more leaking, and holds up even in hot summer sun. Love it, always keep it in my garage repair kits.

      I had a water hose with one medium-sized hole in it a couple feet from the spigot and wanted to repair it rather than dumping it in the landfill over one small issue. After a bit of a research, I came across these silicone tapes. I tried locating another brand at Walmart but my local store didn't have it, so I ordered this one to save on shipping. I followed the directions, stretched and wrapped tightly, and wrapped several inches on both sides of the hole as well. When I turned the water on, it cracked right through the tape. Granted, the pressure of the water coming through the hole was less, allowing me to actually water my garden using the hose (before so much water was escaping through the hose I had no pressure coming from the actual hose end), but not exactly a solution. I tried reinforcing the tape a couple of times with the same result. They got a star back for making the return easy and painless. Probably works well for other things, but don't recommend it for hoses.

      I first found this tape about five years ago. I watched a guy demonstrate it by mending a broken wood hammer handle and then using the hammer. While that's extreme, there are things about this that I find indispensable.
      It acts as an electrical and thermal insulator.
      It works in extreme cold (I live in Alaska).
      It retains a good grip once applied.
      I most commonly use this for wrapping handles on my tool, especially ones that are expected to be used in wet or cold weather. Metal handles are much easier to use in sub-zero temperatures with a good wrap. It remains "grippy" even when wet. It bonds very tightly once wrapped and let sit for a bit. It doesn't wear or corrode. As far as I can tell, it resists saltwater with no apparent negative effects.
      This is a staple item in my junk drawer, my car, and my camper.

      Had the grey water PVC pipe on my camper crack at the joint. This is a non pressurized line. Was not looking forward to breaking out the hack saw, and them piecing together the new line. Like every other "honey do" project what seems like a 1 or 2 hour job would have turned into a 4-5 hour job with 3-4 trips back and forth to Home Depot.

      1st I mixed some epoxy (the 2 part stuff) and coated the cracked joint and bit of surrounding area. Let this harden and then applied this tape. The thing that helped me was to cut the strip (not too long) and then counter roll the tape, then start wrapping (TIGHT!) and as you are wrapping the clear plastic rolls off. Kinda hard to conceptualize in writing but once you are sitting in front of your project you will see what I mean.

      Bottom line, it appears to me this stuff is KILLER and saved me hours and hours of re-piping on my RV.
