I ran one of these switches to an ESP board to make my garage door opener smart. It reports back to the board instantly, and it has sat there for a full year so far and it hasn't failed. Thank goodness this pack came with two, I accidentally fried one of them running the wiring through the wrong transformer.

I am using this for a garage door sensor project with an ESP2866 wifi board so I can see when the door is open/closed via a website. Simple switch - easy to work with.

Works great. Normally open, when the two pieces get within about 3/4" of each other the resistance starts at about 50 ohms and drops to nearly zero when they are touching.

Been using these on my garage doors. The sensors have been working great. The adhesive is strong too so I don't worry about them falling off due to vibrations from opening/closing the garage doors.

Failed after 2 weeks. Live in illinois. Weather shouldn’t be a factor. Installed second switch. I don’t have faith in it though.

Works to replace a non-working magnetic switch at a reasonable cost.

Installed on my garage door as part of a project to create a DIY wifi garage opener with Shelly 1 wifi relay. This reed switch is normally-open (NO) configuration and so far works great to tell me if the door is open or closed.
