I'm not sure what company is responsible for these.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2017Great Little Battery. Packs upto 4.2V at full charge and does a nice job powering a small Arduino project based on the Adafruit Feather M0 board. If you're considering any application with heavy WiFi use, you might want to go with a larger battery than this.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 13, 2016Works. I used this battery to replace the abysmal 120mAh battery in my cheap (No longer available for purchase, not even mentioned on either Sakars, Vivitars, or WalMarts websites.) $10 Vivitar Bluetooth headphones, and now instead of getting 6 hours of runtime, they get about 60 hours, which is better than basically every pair of bluetooth headphones currently available for sale (At a reasonable price). Only downsides (Bad for my situation, though beneficial for anybody else) are that the battery was slightly bigger than I expected (Probably my fault), meaning that the headphone cup barely had enough room for the (Comparatively) massive battery (Compare an aspirin tablet to a walnut, the size difference was close to that much), I had to snip off the connector, which I did like an idiot and gave myself a little shock, which hurt less than the two burns I got from my soldering iron, and that by making the battery 10 times better without changing anything else, the charge time is also 10 times longer. That's about it, it's a good battery that has not yet exploded, burnt my outer ear, or my house, or any combination of the three, which was probably my worst fear when I finished soldering the new battery in, which is why I went for Adafruits batteries. Would recommend for just about anything.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2017Battery replacement for an iSound Twist wireless speaker. Worked great, even though length of battery was a little longer than original. iSound don't sell the battery and expect the customers to buy another speaker instead of buying just a battery?
- Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2018I purchased three of these to replace dead PS3 controller batteries as noted by others in the comments. One of the three came with a defective wire that was pulled from the battery (which I only realized a month later when I went to replace the third controller battery).
They work fine for PS3 controllers, as opposed to the cheap replacement batteries you find on Amazon, etc. However, you need to swap the red and black leads by taking an exacto knife and lifting the plastic flaps on the head and pulling the wires out. The other issue is that these batteries are too large to fit inside the PS3 housing, so you need to drill a hole through the case (I used a 5/32" drill bit), run the wires through, then pop them back in the head so they match the orientation of the original battery that came with the PS3 controller. I also taped the batteries to the bottom of the controller with electrical tape. Not exactly an ideal solution but they actually work (unless the wires are pulled out of the battery).
- Reviewed in the United States on September 26, 2017I originally thought this battery was not protected, but upon some closer examinations I found it was. I have thus altered my review, and it is exactly as advertised. I've tested the capacity of both batteries, and the only odd thing that happens is when the protection circuit disables the supply due to low voltage, I cannot easily charge it from my SkyRC charger as it does not detect the battery any longer. Putting a small bit of charge on it using a different LiPo charger brought the voltage up enough that the protection circuit allows current to flow, and the SkyRC can charge it the rest of the way.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 4, 2018I wish the package was rigid, and had nice 90 corners on all the sides it'd stay in the prongs easier.
That really is the only thing I'd improve, given a choice in the matter. It's a drop in fit for a Dualshock 3 controller for a PS3, however you need to swap the locations of the red and black leads on the JST PH (2-PIN) plug in order to make sure the power flows correctly. Rated at 3.7v and 1200mAh it's a match for the battery Sony put in. (Sony rates it at 4.2 peak, ~3.7v nominal. It is a match)
Shipping was fast, installation was pretty simple (all told). If I need to fix another controller, I'll buy another one of these.
I'm hoping that since they're from Adafruit, they're not going to die in a week like some of the knockoffs will. I'll update this in a month or so when I've got a better idea as to the longevity.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 9, 2019The wires were were switched so it did not work. I am hoping this did not fry the (PS3) controller, but I’ll find that out when I can get an actual working battery.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 20, 2017It was larger than I expected, but I was still able to incorporate it into my restoration of some video glasses. It has been extra-reliable so far, as I accidently left the glasses recording- in the case- in the car- and there was no overheating.
