Perfect size to house the controller for my Cloudplate. I turned the box on its side to use the bottom as the front, and I cut out the hole using a box cutter. I left the top/back off. It fits perfectly on a 2U shelf secured with two lengths of dual lock velcro. The finish on the box does seem to scuff easily, and I was in a hurry so my handiwork is a bit sloppy here; however, if you are more careful than I was you shouldn't have any issues with this box.
