I recently needed to replace one that had served me well for several years, but was no longer holding its charge as it once did. That gave me the opportunity to thoroughly investigate what is available today, and I was both pleased and surprised at how far this technology has come since I got my first "portable" battery. I travel nearly every week throughout the world, but with seat power being unreliable, even if it is on an airplane, I need something that can keep my tablet working (Samsung S2-8) for 12-14 hours at a time. and be small enough to not require a separate piece of luggage in order to transport it. This device is real good for that specific mission. Its tiny! So small that when the tablet's battery gets low I can plug it into one of these and it will both charge the tablet's battery while at the same time keeping it up and running without getting in the way. I actually got two of them. One for use primarily by the tablet, and the other for keeping my phone or Bluetooth headset "topped up".
In testing out its capabilities, I let my tablet run down to 29% battery level. It took 2 hours and 15 minutes to fully charge. Then it took about 3 hours to recharge using a conventional, non-smart usb charger. So am I happy with it? Absolutely!
