    I have ordered many el-wire (at least 50 each time) from various vendors in the past and used them for costumes on our Mardi Gras float. This is the first time that every single one has worked. I used the Amazon basic AA batteries which also worked fine.

    These light up pretty well, and all of them worked out of the box. All of them make a high pitched whining sound when turned on. Its not very loud, but even my son asked what it was when we turned them on.
