Customers find the power supply functional and providing adequate quality power. They consider it a good product at a fair price. However, some customers have reported issues with the fan not turning on or running more often than off. There are also complaints about the noise level.
Customers are satisfied with the power supply's performance. It works well and meets their expectations, functioning as expected. They have no issues running two radio units at the same time for extended periods without interruption.

Customers are unhappy with the fan power of the power supply. They report that the fan does not run, turns on and off frequently, or completely dies.

The output is set at 48V. The adjustment trim pot was glued in place so I broke it free and adjusted the output voltage to 50V. So far I have only used it for about 50 watts of power. Power quality seems to be good (low ripple) for the price. I have used it in Sweden and the US. Seems to be efficient and the fan does turn on when it begins to heat up.
I've had the 48V unit for a week. It works well so far, giving 48.2 Volts right out of the box.
I'm not liking that there's not a safe plug in 110V cord supplied or even a connector for it. So, don't forget to buy or cut up an existing 3 wire AC cord for the AC power input (the right 3 connections on the back of the unit). In the wire I cut the end off of, the green wire goes to the ground (the symbol with the parallel lines), the white wire goes to the connector marked N (neutral) and the Black wire goes to the L connector (Live). Make sure you don't strip too much insulation off the ends of the wires, as you will have live 115Volts AC bare wires in close proximity that could shock you or short easily.
I've only used my unit for about a half hour so far with a relatively small 48DC load of about 0.3 amps. The box got a little warm, but the fan did not come on, which is fine. It is supposed to come on when the temperature rises too much. Hopefully it would if I increased the load.
I bought both the 36V and 48V versions of this power supply. The 36V came with a broken fan out of the box. The fan part was loose and rattling around inside. The 48V version arrived with the fan intact, but the fan would not run. The power supply would heat up until the over-temperature protection kicked in and it would stop providing power. By that time the power supply was nearly too hot to touch.
I've only had this unit installed for about a week. It provides ample quality power to drive my 25 PoE cameras (each pull about 7 watts at max power). Despite the PS not being anywhere near full load (my power meter shows a max 95 watt AC load), the fan is on more often than off. That wouldn't be a problem if it didn't sound like a hair dryer set to max.
Unfortunately, I have this PS mounted in an spare bedroom where the constant cycling is very noticeable and distracting. I wish there was a way to slow the fan down, or disable it. For now, I will be looking for a replacement PS.
This power supply was everything that I wanted; the right size, correct voltage, and good quality. It works perfectly for what I am doing with it- running a CNC machine. You do need to supply your own power cord, but almost everyone has something around that they can use, or you could cut the cord off of your wife's toaster- what's more important, food or shop tools? It would be nice if this had an on/off, lighted rocker switch on it, but I guess that's just an additional expense.
Works without an issue! I use this with 3 Saintsmart Stepper Drivers set to 2A each totaling 6A for all three motors, and this unit works great! I turned the voltage adjustment pot down as far as it would go to produce about a 43V output and the unit works great, the fan comes on every now and then to cool the PS, would highly recommend this!
when i opened the "new" box i saw a yellow post it note that said "does not turn on!" i was concerned. the unit did not turn on and neither did the second unit i purchased. save yourself time and money folks . go with the Drock 48v dc power supply instead it is more money but at least they work. this seller is just sending back out returned product without even checking the issues.
