Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The product is fine, but this is absolutely tiny. If you want to wrap up a bundle of usb or DVI cables, you want the 8mm OD stuff. This 3mm stuff is pretty much useless for organizing the cables behind your desk.
This cable wrap is ideal for very fine wires, like the power leads from a 9v battery socket, or other wires inside of a project.
The product I received is not the product in the picture. I wanted spiral wrap and received a lacing cord. The part number on the bag is the same I ordered but the product in the bag is different.
I have a Toyota Camry and for some reason it would not give good reception for my Garmin GPS without an external antenna. I had to run the antenna through the door frames and trunk because I wanted it mounted on the trunk lid. I put this on the wire to keep it from fraying from the sharp edges. Works great
This product is great for organizing that mess of wires. I needed to make things look a little neater in the back of an electrical box. This spiral wrap made it a snap.
I bought this just to see how it was. Its very small, I was barely able to cram two small cords into it (think the cords on a cheap pair of headphones) and due to the strength of the plastic relative to the diameter it was very hard to wrap. Make sure that this is really what you want, and if so don't plan on on wrapping/unwrapping very often.
I use larger sizes of similar products for a lot of my computer cables. But I actually got this to wrap around a very thin power lead, to add some protection to it because one of my cats likes to chew on/through thin wires for some bizarre reason. I wanted the 3mm inside diameter size, or at least I thought I did, and that's what I got. But I wasn't expecting it to be so pliable and flexible, even considering how thin it is. Rather than a thin yet stiff plastic like you'd find in a drinking straw, it was not stiff at all and bends almost like a very thin wire itself. I used it, but since it wouldn't add the stiffness/protection I wanted, I ended up wrapping some layers of electrical tape around the outside of this wrap after I coiled it around my power lead. I basically could've done that without this wrap at all, although I guess using it did save me a couple of layers of tape, and if I ever did want to remove the tape from the lead, it should come off without leaving a bunch of sticky tape residue on the lead itself.
