These work quite well but because of the two, tall electrolytic capacitors adjacent the header pins it makes it impossible to insert the pins into holes in a PCB (i.e. solder it directly in place), unless the PCB is narrow enough on that end or has cutouts to accommodate the capacitors. I would call this a Dumb Design! Looks like it might work with a header socket, but the fact that it won't reach a PCB is rather limiting.
