    Because of a faulty 3.5mm socket on mt new Dell, I bought this little bit of kit to connect me external speakers. It was just what I wanted. Plug it into the USB socket and then connect the speakers via the audio socket on the adapter. No messing about, no downloading apps or add-ons - just plug in and away you go. Love it.

    I purchased the Vention External USB card so I could use my wired 3.5mm headset with my PS4, and while I wasn't expecting top-of-the-range quality I was surprised how good a job it does for the price. I found the lower frequencies weren't as strong as they should have been, but I honestly feel that anyone other than serious audiophiles won't notice it too much. Its simple plug-and-play nature means it worked straight away, and even with a USB extender cable it worked without issue. I can also confirm that this works with the Nintendo Switch when docked.

    My only major criticism is with the physical build. There have been a few times when removing the sound card that the outer black casing has pulled away from the actual board. Pushing it back in was a simple fix, but it's a shame that it wasn't more firmly secured.

    Overall, I'm very happy with the price I paid and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap way to use their 3.5mm headsets with their console!

    I bought this to replace an old cable adapter I had for my headset, This item claims to be Both CTIA and OMTP compatible. However the connector for the headset 3.5mm jack is clearly either poorly manufactured or simply falsely advertised as my CTIA headset I would say barely functioned if I was being kind.

    The Audio output after testing was Mono and not even Stereo and the quality was dreadful, incredibly tinny sound and at the low end of the frequency spectrum the sound simply became a distorted mess that was close to painful to listen to.

    As for the Microphone input, well there is ZERO microphone functionality, the PC picks up that the device accepts Audio out and in however the device will not convert any input from microphones and I tested this using multiple headsets that I know work to ensure it was the adapter at fault.

    Do yourself a favour give this product a complete miss and save your time waiting for a clearly poorly/cheaply manufactured adapter that does not work at all for what it says it should be able to do.

    Does the job but a slight hum can be heard whilst using this product with my 3.5mm headset, had this problem with other sound cards as well.

    My solution was to buy a headset which has a USB instead of a 3.5mm Jack which eliminates the need for this product and deliveries better sound quality.
