I also own the previous generation of this battery, and bought this one to have as a spare when I was going to spend a week in a field and knew that my phone had no chance of lasting much beyond lunch on my first day. That was 18 months ago, and since then, I've made sure that I keep it in my bag at all times, because not much says "modern life" more than your phone battery plummeting at the least convenient moment. It's small (about two thirds the length of an iPhone 6 and a little fatter), light and comes in a little drawstring pouch to keep it safe in a bag or pocket, although it feels well-built enough that it could probably survive pretty happily without its pouch. Charging the battery itself isn't the quickest thing, but just treat it as you would your phone (put it on for a couple of hours or overnight) and you'll get plenty of life out of it. I've been able to get a couple of full iPhone 6 charges out of a single "session" with no problem, and a quick tap of the single button on the battery pack lets you see how much charge is left in it. It holds its charge well, and charges a phone, tablet, pair of bluetooth headphones, kindle (and all manner of things that we find ourselves reaching for and cursing when we discover that they're dead) very quickly - in my experience, far quicker than a laptop. I've had absolutely no trouble from my unit - it's survived two muddy Glastonbury Festivals, a number of jobs abroad, a couple of camping trips and...London..., arguably better than my phone itself! Anker seem to have got the basics very right: a really good little product, well packaged, at a great price, delivered quickly, and backed-up by quick and friendly customer service. I can't recommend it highly enough.

If you're looking for peace of mind every time you leave the house, this power bank doesn't disappoint. It's the size of a credit card and only a hair heavier than my girlfriend's iPhone 6, making it extremely portable without being bulky and heavy. • The Anker Astro E1 is a powerful, yet very portable, external battery that you can easily take with you. It’s is a bit heavier than some of those small stick ones but still fits good in your pocket and doesn’t require a large bag or purse. • Definitely does not do two full charges for my girlfriend's iPhone 6. One and a half charges on a great day (1st charge: 100%, 2nd charge: 65%) But the battery charges up her phone pretty quickly. This battery pack is a glossy black finish with a curved rectangular shape. The corners are rounded and the surface quite shiny and smooth. There are 4 LED lights on the flat top of the power bank to give an indication of current charge. The button also sits flush with the unit which helps prevent it from being accidentally pressed. * One gripe is that there will be scratches that will inevitably accumulate on this battery pack. * It comes with a mesh carrying case and a micro-usb charging / data cable. * It has only one port, so you cannot charge two devices at the same time. Pros: + Small and compact. + Large charging capacity to size ratio. + PowerIQ Technology With the IQ chip that Anker has, it charges your phone at its max capabilities without destroying the device. + Does not over charge. The power bank will not overcharge your device. It automatically stops when it reaches 100%. Cons: - Nothing i could think off. I highly recommend this item and urge you to consider your needs before you purchase something significantly bigger, bulkier, and expensive than this. So if you want a reliable power bank that charges your phone in no time and frees you from being attached to a wall outlet, GET THIS!
