Completely corroded within days.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 19, 2022These probes : a. Don't have a long measuring depth (just the length of the probe, b. corrode easily when sitting in water for a couple of hours, c. Give inconsistent measurements that are hard to even reconcile to get an average depth.

Next day it was constantly reading 0. Turns out it was absolutely corroded. I expected some corrosion, I didn't expect it within a few days of being used. Major disappointment.
FWIW if you're looking at these to monitor water levels. Expect corrosion. You can minimize corrosion by only powering this on when you take readings.

FWIW if you're looking at these to monitor water levels. Expect corrosion. You can minimize corrosion by only powering this on when you take readings.

I tried this sensor using esphome and had to set the attenuation to auto to get it to work. However, after a day in the water, this sensor is completely corroded. Too bad..

- Reviewed in the United States on April 9, 2021Does not work as a water level sensor at all, is far too jumpy in its readings and is affected by residual water too much. Functions well pretty much only to sense if water is touching the sensor, not how high up on the sensing surface it is.
