Lots of Features in a Small Package

Lots of Features in a Small Package
This Tx, coupled with the Deviation firmware flash, controls the DSMx protocol Blade Inductrix (Tiny Whoop) and my 220 racing quad. I performed the range extending diode jumper modification that is supported by Deviation. I also added two 3 position switches to more fully utilize the seven RC channels. The final upgrade was a set of machined aluminum stick extensions. The smaller than average size for radios with this feature set makes it a good fit for my small flight box that I carry to the flying field.

The media could not be loaded.
Put batteries in the unit, turned it on and it failed right out of the box. Display quit working within 30 seconds!!! Very disappointed.

I'm ordering another one - and thanks to Amazon's return policy I will raise this review when I have a good working transmitter.

I got this to fly my NanoQX, and also to have the flexibility to build larger multicopters or go planes. No BS, if you have even a hint of DIYer in you and are just getting into RC things AND don't want to spend $200-400 on a transmitter, get this one!!! I put a custom firmware on which took all of 30seconds(super simple with the USB it comes with), its now up to a 12 channel Transmitter. I can mod lots of things, search for RC models and put them on the transmitter. My buddy bought an additional module and soldered it in so he could fly his Hubsan X4 and it worked great.

While a little awkward because of the cable placement, you can also hook it up to your PC and use it for Simulators for practice indoors(I used Free Rider)

I wasn't 100% I wanted to get into RC and drop tons of cash, so I got this as my second step into the RC world.

Received this transmitter last month. Very good overall but LCD already has dead lines. Less than a month of use. So I'm not sure what to do about that since it's third party seller. Otherwise a great entry transmitter.

Great radio for the price. I have the full sized Devo transmitter but wanted a small one I can carry around with my smaller planes. I selected this unit over the Devo 7 because it is easily upgraded using the included USB computer interface. I installed deviation software upgrade and it has almost all the features of my full sized unit. I was able to copy my model setups from my Devo 8S. Just had to "rebind" to the planes I want to fly with this smaller unit. I am adding a couple of 3 position switches and make a mod for full power output. Not necessary for the smaller park flyer planes. Also found it great for computer SIM games using the included USB computer interface. A very versatile transmitter.

Great radio once flashed with deviationtx firmware. I love the smallish size. It fits in my big hands just fine but it's a bit more portable that my other full size radio.

Lost one star because the radio transmission power is artificially limited until you do a very difficult surface mount hack.

Great little all in one Radio for all your toy quads etc... with a 3 in 1 module and DeviationTX firmware!
Can use as is or install DeviationTX firmware to replace stock and gain a lot of models - read about at deviationtx.com. Or gain almost all toy grade models with the DeviationTX firmware and a 3 in 1 module that covers a bunch more protocols for other quads - helis - planes.

    Like this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FX73J3Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Or you can install individual (singular protocol) modules.

There are plenty of mods for this controller - modules - firmware - antenna - add switches etc... It is a great controller!

Read all about it online – deviationtx.com and RCgroups. Search YouTube. Google Devo 7E
