Authentication, often perceived as straightforward, remains a complex and unresolved challenge in our modern era. The traditional duo of username and password no longer suffices. Introducing a third factor often complicates or frustrates the process. Furthermore, enabling authentication on our behalf, such as allowing our pets access to specific rooms or letting a courier in while we're away, is nearly non-existent. Imagine wanting your car to automatically open your gate, reminiscent of the magic in the tale of "Open Sesame." How can this be achieved without a plethora of devices, protocols, and significant investment of time and money? And is there a simpler way to access our servers without the cumbersome two-factor authentication?
Enter Authentiqos. This solution seamlessly integrates various technologies, offering users the flexibility of one-time QR codes, facial recognition, or NFC tags. Need to grant temporary access to a courier? Send a time-limited QR code. Want to set up facial recognition for your dog's feeding area? Authentiqos has you covered. At its core, Authentiqos comprises three main components: a user-friendly app (either PWA or native) on users' smartphones, a detection system potentially leveraging Nordic Semiconductor technologies, and a set of wireless actuators, such as the reliable nRF52840 Dongle. All of this is wrapped up by the authentiqos.com platform.
