Welcome to my FSM 50 Toq watch App! This app is made to make the UC Berkeley campus, and specifically Sproul Plaza, an interactive environment for the Free Speech Movement. The app is simple: a user walks onto Sproul Plaza and gets a notification with the name of one of six leaders of the Free Speech Movement (not shown on video, but implemented). Then, they can enter the app on their Toq watch to view an image of that leader and a rally cry that they can draw. The user can then open up the drawing application on the Android phone to draw the aforementioned rally cry. The user can choose from 12 different colors, three brush sizes, and three eraser sizes. The user can also choose to wipe their screen clean and start over if they wish. Then, the user can save their image to their phone and upload it to Flickr. As an added bonus, a random image from Flickr with the tag "CS160fsm" will be shown on the drawing screen to give the user inspiration for their drawing.
As part of working on this project, I used a lot of code from the demonstration apps from section, worked with some friends (Asaf Avidan Antonir, Reah Miyara) as it was our first real deep-dive into Android, and followed this tutorial to help me out with learning how to create a drawing app.
