Hi, I'm Rune, a 16-year-old from Belgium, and I've been living with type 1 diabetes for 13 years. Managing diabetes requires expensive medical devices, including insulin pumps, which can be inaccessible to many people. That’s why I decided to create IINTS – an open-source insulin pump, powered by a Raspberry Pi.
IINTS is designed to be affordable, customizable, and accessible to anyone who needs it. By making the design and software open-source, I hope to give diabetics more control over their treatment and inspire innovation in DIY medical technology.
This project is more than just a pump—it's a step towards democratizing diabetes care. With contributions from the maker community, we can improve and refine IINTS together. Let’s make life-saving technology open for all!
