Problem statement:
Solar energy is the renewable energy available on the earth surface Government is providing a good amount of subsidies to encourage the solar energy utilization.Solar panel is needed to track the position of sun for that solar trackers are used. If a smart sensing device is interfaced to the MCU then it control the solar panels towards the Sun direction.
In present project, SmartEdge Agile is used to designed to collect solar data and to position the panels in the sun normal direction. If the panels are in normal to the sun then they generate more electric energy. In solar plants the system can be kept in auto-mode to track the sun and position the panel in sun normal direction. In existing systems the monitoring of the tracking system and their position are not available. After looking in to the salient features of SmartEdge Agile device I thought to include the SmartEdge Agile in the tracker unit for effective design of thesolar tracker. It is useful to extract more solar energy and to can be utilizedfor small scale appliances.
The SmartEdge Agile has on-board sensors like a humidity and temperature sensor, an ambient light sensor and IR sensor. The sensor are used to find the panel temperature, air temperature, humidity, ambient light produced in solar light. It has BLE 5.0 , End to end solution, real time data visualization with Brainium widgets and AI at the Edge with zero coding approach and Security at the Edge. They are useful for remote accessing in mobile app.
Conclusion:
The recorded data can be used to estimate the solar energy in location to install solar plant and panel performance can be estimated.
