This is no conventional boombox however. In fact, I am not quite sure if that is the appropriate name. It has a total of 4 drivers, two in the front, and two in the back, and a large passive radiator on the bottom.
Specs and Parts List:- 50 watts end per channel
- Optimal input: 15v with 1.6ma Bluetooth only
- 2x 8 ohm shielded drivers by peerless
- 2x 12 ohm drivers by Sony
- 4x inch passive radiator by peerless
I can provide a full parts list upon request.
This is loud enough to fill a basketball court easily and sounds absolutely superb. It costed approx. 100$ to make overall.
Building it gave me a relationship with rulers that I would not forget. Packing all the drivers as close together as space would allow while keeping them far apart enough to not interfere with one another proved a challenge.
Here are some pictures of the internals:Unfortunately, you will not be able to understand how good it sounds. As a frequent listener of music I do not identify as a audiophile by any means; however, I have had experience enough to confidently say that the quality of sound that this produces is equivalent to those in the 250-300$ price range for Bluetooth speakers.
