The GrunUVbot is an autonomous UV robot that can be used as part of regular cleaning process. GrunUVbot aims at preventing and reducing the spread of infectious diseases, virus, bacteria, and other types of harmful organic microorganisms. It also senses humidity, temperature, CO2 level and off-odour in the room and helps to control its level. This UV robot is safe, reliable and eliminates human error. The user friendly design of UV robot and its mobile app enables it to be operated by every-day cleaning staff.
Two 12V gel type lead acid battery's connected in series is the power source of the robot, a charge monitoring circuit monitors the battery level and gives warning in case the battery voltage is low. A 230 VAC 24VDC battery charger with auto cut off is provided to recharge the battery. IR proximity sensors fitted in the bottom and top part of the robot detects hindrances in the way and it adjusts its motion and navigation accordingly. DC motor is used to drive the robot move in all direction. Human presence is monitored continuously through PIR sensors and CO2 sensors and temperature sensors. In case of a human presence is detected the robot automatically turns off the UVC lights and gives red alarm and indication and single beep buzzer. There are 4 feet 6 UCV tubes in the top portion which radiates the UVC light in 360 degrees. UV light sensor gives feed back of the level of UV radiation.
Bottom of the robot is fitted with 3 15" UVC tubes to disinfect the floor while its travelling. Robot uses humidity, temperature, Air quality and CO2 sensors to detect the presence or microbial growth in every region and it adjusts the disinfection time accordingly. For a room of size 3mx4m it chooses a path that can effectively disinfect every part of the room.
Robot continuously sends position data, battery level data, disinfection rate, robot speed, CO2 level, Humidity level, temperature level, air quality level and UCV light wavelength data to the operators mobile app. It also keeps record of the date and time of operation and every week a disinfection chart is prepared by the mobile app.
Once the operation is completed robot gives green alarm and three beeps also the cleaning staff is notified through mobile app. Communication is through wifi/3g/4g networks. User also can turn off and turn on the robot remotely. An emergency stop button is given on the robot outer body for emergency OFF function.
