K1 Team 1 EPP Project [Retail]

This project aims to lower the amount of electricity required by retail self-checkout devices. To determine whether there are any items at the checkout station, our system uses a Time of Flight unit (ToF) sensor to measure distance. The device will automatically switch on if there are users who are going to use it. However, when ToF measured is not within range , the machine will automatically switch off. Thus, saving electricity in the process.
