Our Story

As working women, we are often short of time to cook and end up in restaurants eating junk. Cooking is a time consuming process. So we thought what if we could cook remotely? Just fill in ingredients before leaving home. Start cooking when you leave office and food is ready to serve when you reach home! Wouldn't that be AWESOME!

How we cooked it!

Our Recipe

• Dish: SmartChef

• Cooks: Hackers

• Time: 3 days

• Ingredients: Raspberry Pi, Universal App, Azure

• Appliance: Crockpot, plastic container, wooden stick and servo motors

• Budget: Under 100$

Steps:

• Universal App sends a command to cook to Azure

• Azure receives the command and gets the recipe (command set) for the cooking dish.

• Raspberry Pi listens to Azure and gets the command set (e.g. Turn ON heat to medium, after 2 mins pour OIL, after 5 mins pour veggies and so on.)

• Raspberry Pi sends the commands to electric hotpot to control temperature and pour ingredients
