In many countries people often uses Roof Water Tank for water storage. Such stored water can be used for different purposes such as cooking, bathing, drinking and for many other uses. The water tank that store water requires cleaning time to time when water gets dirty or it may also be possible that there are some chemical mix in water from the water source itself. In metro cities buildings are usually very high (multistory) and it is not possible to check the water quality in water tanks frequently. In this project, an intelligent water tank automatically notify the quality of water at regular intervals so that the water tank can be cleaned whenever required. Thus users always have a safe water for use.
A sensor node to monitor water quality based on different parameters as stated below:
- ph
- Hardness
- Solids
- Chloramines
- Sulfate
- Conductivity
- Organic_carbon
- Trihalomethanes
- Turbidity
Based on the values of these parameters, it is determined whether water is safe to use or not.

Here, the last column potability 0 (zero) means water is not safe to drink, and 1 (one) means water is safe to drink.
Edge Impulse has data upload feature which can be used to upload data in .csv file. The uploaded raw data would look like following:
