The SensorTile Box provides a ideal device to measure and alert caregivers to any change in temperature and detect a free fall for a individual. The alert will be in the form of a email.
The kit would include the SensorTile Box and a link to a PDF file that would detail how to set this up on Microsoft Azure IoT Central. The connection to the cloud is free and the sensor box will cost $62 CND.
SensorTile.box from STMicroelectronics would collect the sensory data such as temperature and humidity and then sent to Microsoft Azure IoT Central platform. SensorTile.box is a development board with multiple motion and environmental sensors on it and can be used for wireless IoT and wearable sensor applications.The dimensions of the box are 57mm, 38mm and 20 mm. The top lid comes in two different versions: one without flanges and other one with flanges. The latter can be used to attach the kit to the wall or any other surface depending on the application. The kit comes with a LiPo battery that can be recharged through the slot for micro usb-b cable.
The board can be accessed using ST BLE Sensor app from the phone. The ST BLE Sensor app contains several example applications suitable for beginners. More advanced users can build their own application in the Expert view mode. I'm using the Android version from Google Playstore. It is free
