Meeting Room Availability Listing System ( MRALS 1.0)

Introduction

Every enterprise either small or large have utilization issue with meeting rooms.

The teams would book the meetings through the online scheduler but do not cancel the booking if they have cancellation of the meetings. Although the enterprise might have a no-show policy, it is difficult to identify available meeting rooms if they spread across multiple floors.

The initial prototype consisted of Raspberry Pi but soon we realized that it did not fit our budget if we wanted to deploy it to multiple meeting rooms.

We used a standard PIR sensor, hooked it up to Arduino and used ESP8266 for internet communication.

The data is published on Thingspeak.
