1 Introduction

The SmartEdge Agile can record sport movement by Gero-Accel sensors on the board.The data are sent by wireless parts to remote cloud service. The data recorded can be guidance for excise and training.

The movement sensor like accelerator and gyro sensors can record the speed and force from bat upon each swing.This is IoT application on sports. SmartEdge Agile is core parts as sensors and cloud portal.

This fast bat project can make the SmartEdge Agle detect motion, analysis the motion for better skill and better exercise.

2. Connecting and Configuration of Devices

Then create widget,

The sensor shall be put On state so the Accelerate Sensor Data

Then create rules for alert

Then the AI module is ready for data tracing.

3. AI and Building

3.1 Start tracking and getting the data, the data can be saved

3.2 Training the model

Recording the tracing first, be carefule, the tracing shall be stopped before taking record.

Then the data is recorded. Sometimes the data can not be stopped recording even the AI module is offline. Another recording is needed to make it right.

The rest is easy. Press the training button, the training is start and model is output.

The model can be used for bat strike detection.

I could record the times of strike when I play and record how much excercise I have practised.

4 Conclusion and Further work

The whole process is fast and easy. Without AI knowledge, everyone can make such training.

The key point is as much as data shall be recorded to make the AI model good enough for better predication result. I would do more data-recording work and make multi-motion detection mode.

That would be good for exercise and improve the skill.
