I was gardening at my friends place, cutting plants, when my friend suggested that I cut her lavenders, make small pouches for those lavenders and sell them to raise funds for her community theatre. I made 16 pouches from two material cuts. Those pouches can be used to store lavenders or coins.
The first step that I done was cut the material into eight equal rectangular shapes (27 cm by 12 cm). You might have a different material. The second step is to cut the edges (refer to photo). The third step is to sew the edges with sewing machine (this is for the rope edges). The fourth step is to put the rope on edge of the material, fold the material and sew to make sure that the rope is inside. The first and final step is to seal the pouch by sewing on the sides.
I cut the lavenders and put them in a plastic bag. I then forgot about the lavenders and they spoiled, being in a plastic bag for a few weeks. However, my friends have many lavenders and I also have lavenders growing in my front yard. I cut additional lavender and hang them to dry.
