A minimalist internet radio enclosure in Bamboo and Bronze for Anthony Kelly's Raspberry Pi internet radio.
The design
The lid swings back to reveal the interface in polished brass with milled copper buttons.
All the ports are hidden away at the back of the cube. The internal components are housed in a multi part plastic enclosure.
The LCD shield is fastened to the faceplate, which in turn is attached to the body with countersunk screws.
The story
I set out to design something that I would want to have in my home. I love designs that incorporate natural materials with metal, and I'm not a big fan of ornate details. The simple form for me just highlights the contrast in the materials.
