Analysis of infant crawling to find neurological disorders

Introduction

Infant development milestones are very exciting to parents, every new action our babies do and learn talks about our commitment to our Childs healthy development. But, many parents also have a constant fear about their babies not developing the right way.

The Need

Many neurological development disorders are hard to notice and evaluated, specially for new parents. The early and correct diagnosis of this kind of development disorders is beneficial due early intervention and treatment.

The Solution

This project aims to help parents around the world to have a friendly and easy to use application to analyze their babies crawling to find any observable disorder that cold be later correctly evaluated by a professional.

Using image and video acquisition and OpenCV the proposed solution will analyze infant crawling getting some kinematics parameters such as displacement, velocity, and even joint angles.
