COV19-LA (Map and APP)

I founded LEET Intelligence and COV19 LA in 2020 because I am passionate about the possibilities for using location-based data. After graduating from the Asian Institute of Technology School of Environment, Thailand in 2020, I was fortunate to find a postdoc position at Chulalongkorn University’s Urban and Regional Planning Department, Thailand where I have been using advance location based intelligence, drone technologies and Google Earth Engine to Land Use, Land Use Change, and Forestry, Urban dynamics, and carbon stock assessment in the tropics. When the COVID-19 virus emerged as a global pandemic, I saw yet another way location-based data can help people achieve their goals. That’s why LEET intelligence developed a free location-based COVID-19 map and Mobile APP (COV19-LA) to alert you about COVID-19 cases in your area so you can be prepared and take action to prevent the spread of infections.

Solutions

Like any virus, COVID-19 travels along vectors or pathways that can be predicted– if you have location-based data and an app to display it. That’s why LEET intelligence developed a location-based COV19-LA map and Mobile APP to alert you about COVID-19 cases in your area so you can be prepared and take action to prevent the spread of infections.

Why COV19-LA APP and MAP?

COV19-LA Mobile APP helps you get tested so you can get treatment and isolate yourself at the earliest possible stage if you test positive or put your mind at ease if you test negative.

Use COV19-LA Mobile APP to report your symptoms to a nearby hospital. The hospital can pinpoint your location and take action to reach you for early treatment which is how we slow the spread.

COV19-LA Mobile APP can alert personnel at hospitals, healthcare clinics and checkpoints at airports, shopping malls, schools and universities about the location of nearby cases so they can take precautions. The same personnel can update the COVID-19 database with the data they collect locally.

Who should be tested?

Should you get tested? Not everyone needs to. Answer these 6-simple yes/no questions to find out.

If you have COVID-19 symptoms and want to get tested, COV19-LA Mobile App will direct you to a nearby hospital or try to call hospitals or local health departments or a medical provider for immediate action.

Checkpoints

Checkpoints such as Airport, Shopping malls, Educations centers, Convenience Stores, Restaurants, and health camps can use COV19-LA Mobile App to record the COVID-19 symptoms and send to authorized hospitals and health care centers.

Hospitals

Hospital has full authority to access the tested cases location and take action to confirm the positive or negative. Authorized hospital will confirm the infected cases after medical checkup and confirmed SARS-COVID-19 cases will be displayed on the Alert map.

Our COV19-LA Mobile APP and COVID Map is a labor of love. We offer it free of charge and we hope that our application can provide communities and health sectors a tool to prevent the spread of COVID virus.

We need support from UNDP to publish our app in the google or IOS app stores, as google/IOS allow only the recognized and affiliated health sectors and government to publish the COVID-19 app.
