The present invention is designed towards a system that prevents caretakers from leaving loved ones in vehicles, which can possibly be unsafe due to the environment (extreme hot or cold temperatures) of an unattended vehicle. Specifically, the invention relates to a device that can be attached to a child’s car seat which can provide an emergency notification to the users when a child/loved one is left buckled inside a vehicle, and outside the range of the caretaker.
When the climate is warm, the act of leaving someone behind is much more than a mistake. The environment in a vehicle on a hot day can lead to heat stroke and death causing irreversible damage to all parties involved. Because every new parent/caretaker has an adjustment period, often a child is left behind. Practically any new parent or caretaker can make this mistake.
The objective of the invention is to prevent injury and/or death caused by the environment of un-attended vehicles, when a child or love one is left behind. In one instance of the present invention, the user/users are notified when a loved one is buckled inside an automobile and in range of a caretaker. Additionally, if the care taker exceeds the maximum range while a loved one is buckled in, the predetermined users will receive a notification. The invention utilizes a reed relay switch, Bluetooth, and GPRS/GSM sensors. The sensors communicate with a micro-controller, which ultimately determines whether a user should be notified.
