Tilt sensors of a cellphone control the movement of the car (RC).
Cellphone tilting forward: car drives forward. Cellphone tilting backwards: car drives backwards. Cellphone tilting to left or right: car steers to the left or to the right. Feature used for this example: orientation shield.
Other features of the oneSheeld (for example the gamepad shield) can also be used to "steer" the car.
Technics used:
2D design of the chassis in Autocad, lasercutted on a Trotec Speedy 300.
2D design of the PCB in Autocad.
3D design of the white parts in SolidWorks, 3D printed on a 3DS Projet 3500HD Max. Pieces sized to match LEGO Technic geometry
Motor, chassisbeams, gears, differential and wheels: LEGO Technic.
Electro: 4 channel relay card. The usage of the relay card makes dynamic breaking possible. If fitted with the proper hardware, speedcontrole of the cars back- and forward movement, also can be achieved.
Rapid prototyping via breadboard.
