This is my entry into the Makezine April Fools 3D Printing Contest. (https://community.makezine.com/share/contests/april-fools)
The mug is designed with a ring of holes throughout the top of the mug. If someone tries to drink from the mug, the liquid inside will spill through the holes around the edge and rim of the mug.
The best part is only the person who created the STL file knows the secret! Download the 3D printable file and print your own. The secret trick in the mug is hidden at the 12 O'Clock position, but can be easily changed with Thingiverse Customizer or by editing the OpenSCAD file.
The Secret Trick: There is a hollow tube running through the mug's handle all the way through to the center of the inside of the mug. However, the same tube is connected to the customizeable secret trick tube. In order to drink from this mug, you'll need to use your fingers to cover the three holes at the 12 O'Clock position and then sip through the hole at the top of the mug above the handle. (If you try to sip through the handle/straw without covering the secret trick tubes, you'll just end up sucking air)
Go to " http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2282587 " and customize the mug to design a mug of your own. When you open the file in the Thingiverse Customizer, you can choose one of 11 different positions for the secret trick.
