At the begining make sure that your clock is connected to the Arduino IoT Cloud. Follow it step by step and come back here when you're ready.
1. Add new variable

Use dashboard in your web browser or use smartphone with Arduino IoT Cloud App.

You do not need any devices other e.g. amazon echo but if you have such a device, the clock control will be more pleasant.Use your smartphne:
- download Alexa app - Google Play of App Store
- open Alexa account (browser or app)
1. Alexa app ready to use
2. Go to "Devices"
3. Choose "Your Smart Home Skills"
4. Enable Smart Home Skills
5.Search Arduino Skill
6. Enable toUse
7.Link with your Arduino IoT Cloud account
8.Now your Arduino Skill is linked
9.Back to Devices and choose Discover
If your clock is connected and working properly the Alexa app should found it without any problems. Sometimes to configure everything correctly, you have to repeat the whole process from removing the Arduino Skill and re-linking accounts.
10. Alexa app shoud found all 4 widgets (added in Arduino IoT Cloud dashboard)
Update - error found in Alexa voice control
- Open Alexa app
- go to Devices and open NixieClock device
- change NixieClock name to Nixie Clock (add a space in the middle)
Without this minor change, voice control on/off clock will not work.
Alexa voice commands:
- Alexa, turn ON/OFF nixie clock
- Alexa, turn ON/OFF cycle
- Alexa, turn ON/OFF first/second backlight
- Alexa, set first/second backlight blue*** - *** red/blue/green etc.
- Alexa set first/second backlight brightness on 10% (0-100%)
