Introduction
In this day and age were starting to see smart things come into our lives more and more, from smart watches to smart laundry machines and soon to come smart driver less cars. What about the things we use on a daily at work, like for example our work uniform, or the safety glasses, or how about maybe a smart hard hat. Your obliged to wear one here in North America whenever you enter any type of construction site, big or small. We consider hard hats as a dumb object which its sole purpose is to protect one of the most import parts of our body, our heads. Now you ask why would we need a smart hard hat, well I think the answer is simple, lets say your at a construction site and something collapses on you, your smart hard hat can send information back to the cloud about movement for example using the accelerometer. Lets not forget if theirs movement theirs a sign of life so emergency crews can have an idea of whats happening to the person under the debris. But theirs many more examples of where smart hard hats can come in useful.
Brief Project Description
The project I've build and demonstrated is very straightforward and simple. Essentially you can say its an out of the box example because from the app all the way down to the code all this was provided from the great folks of On Semiconductor.
Setup and Wire Assembly of RSL 10

BLE Connection and Information Relay
Step 1:
First we connect the RSL 10 with the On Semiconductor App via Bluetooth.
Step 2:
Select the sensor you want to use.
(In this case I'm using the Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Temperature sensor)
Step 3:
Now you can view the sensor information either numerical format or graphical format.
Connect To The Cloud
The following link provides you with the information needed to link the RSL 10 with IBM Cloud.
