I was looking for a proper lighting setup to capture proper photos and videos for my upcoming projects in Hackster. I asked suggestions from Hackster users in a post where I got a suggestion to look at http://makezine.com/projects/make-38-cameras-and-av/brownie-pan-led-light-panel/ from Alex Glow. So I thought why not give it a try with things I got already. I found this box which I got from buying a electronic device.
How to do itIt consists 2 parts. A slightly smaller inner box that fits inside the outer box. Then I found this White LED Strip lying around.
My plan is to stick the strips as parallel lines to add as much LED lights as possible in it. So I cut down the strips into smaller pieces like this.
And sticked these on outside of the inner box.
And soldered them together like this:
Removed some part of the inner box so that it goes a little more inside the outer box to give some space for lights and acrylic sheet.
A DC Connector Female is attached to outside of outer box with the wire present inside the box which attaches to the LED strip.
A 12V DC adapter which is connected to the female connector is used to power the LEDs. I also added a acrylic sheet over the LED and attached a flexible tripod. And this is the final outcome.
You can use a voltage divider to control the voltage by which you can dim or brighten the light. Also a IR sensor can be added to remotely control the lights.
