Your Phone Is the Master

As we use our phone whole day, we can use to control it each and every appliance using an app. We can control lights, fans, switches, doors, garage and much more using a single interface and that too without being physically present. This regular data can be used to make intelligent decisions based on the users behaviour and time. E.g If a user leaves for office at 10 and switches the lights off, after a few repeatations, the PIR sensor will be activated everyday at 10 to check the presence of user. In this way we can even save the electricity and working time of sensors.

I did a home automation project similar to this using arduino and bluetooth using android. But when comes the internet, the scalability increases. From being near to home to being in some other state, all you need is just an app to see whats happening at your home.
