What is our project?
BeeIO is a new start-up company in Vietnam. By combining the traditional agricultural practices, new technologies and strong desire for bringing up a better life for farmers, we want to re-shape the agriculture by bringing up the smart solutions for the precision agriculture industry.
To reshape the agriculture is not easy. We need to build a sustainable agriculture ecosystem from seeding to consuming. The first challenge, how to change the traditional agriculture to the precision agriculture? By the right mix of soft and technical skills, BeeIO focus on the research, development, and integration the hardware, software and cultivation techniques to help farmer increase the product's performance and decrease the management cost and labor. The second challenge, where does farmer buy the good seedling and baby animal? BeeIO will cooperate will the nurseries and the biology labs to bring up the good seedling and baby animal for farmer. The next challenge, how to ensure the good quality for agricultural products? BeeIO will cooperate will the agricultural universities. Beside of providing agricultural techniques for farmer, the universities can assist to resolve the problems happen on the farm as soon as possible. That help to ensure the good quality and sustainable output for agricultural products and save money, adapt with the global standards. The last challenge, how to ensure a market for the farm's produce? BeeIO will build a online store to make a strong connection between farmer and customer. On this store, farmers can sell their products; personal customers can buy the fresh food from the local farms and enterprise customers can manage and control the quality of their products from the raw materials. Based on our farm management system, customer can know the detail information about the purchased products. For example who grows them? where are they growth? how to grow them? when are they growth? Building a sustainable market for the agricultural products is the most important and difficult challenge, that helps to determine our project success or failure.
Why did we decide to make it ?
The technological revolution has infiltrated virtually every realm of the world in just a few short years. We are easy to see the daily changes on many areas as IT, economic, marketing, advertising, finance, mobile, social network, entertainment, transportation. The advance technologies help to bring up so much benefits for them. Different from other areas, the Vietnam’s agriculture seems to not have so much change. Most of farmers must work on their farm by manually. And the phrase “bumper crop, fall price - crop failure, famine” has always threatened the farmers. By the strong desire, we want to use our experiences to bring up a better life for all farmers, their families and the rural communities in which they live.
How does it work?
The plant care management system is a part of our ecosystem. We focus on the indoor and outdoor plants by integrating hardware and software to build an automatic system to help growing and management the plants in the greenhouse and on the field as tomato, strawberry, cucumber and melon. The alpha version of the plant care system had been developing at farm.beeio.xyz.
We use the high accuracy sensors added to our latest equipment to help collect data from the farms. The information is combined with historical and real-time data regarding weather prediction, soil conditions, crop features and many other data sets. Based on the combined information, our platform will remotely manage and control the connected farming equipments for example the lamp, the water pump, the air fan, the misting pump. The information is presented in our farm management platform as well as on the Android, iPhone and iPad app Mobile Farm Manager. These solutions help farmers in saving time, improving output, and increasing accuracy.
Up to now, the kit and plant care management system had been developing and testing in our greenhouse for over seven months. Now, we are finding some farmers to join the beta testing program and the investor to produce the kits for this test.

How to setup?
The first, we will connect the soil sensor and power with the sensor box
Next, we will setup connection for the sensor box. The sensor box and the power strip use Wifi to send the data to server. At the first time, when plugging power into the sensor box, we must setup SSID and password of Wifi.
The setup steps for the power strip is as same as the sensor box. Next step we will register the sensor box with the farm care management system.
Review the farm management system
Enter farm.beeio.xyz to access the farm care management system.
To use our service, you must initialize a new season by using the box serial.
After setting up, the dashboard will show message as below. And now, you can take the sensor box into your greenhouse and begin using our service.
Last week, I harvested my melon season and I just only a cucumber pot. Thus, I will use this pot to make the demo.
For the power strip, we will plug the devices and turn on

What next?
Thank for support from Hackster.io, LinkIt ONE is a powerful kit and I'm using this kit to make a flying drone camera, which is a new device support for the farm care management. It will auto take up the photo and send to the farm care management system. And then, farmer don't need to take up and upload to our system manually. Beside the photo logging feature, farmer can view live camera from this drone on their hand. We will update to our repository to anyone can make a same drone. Please wait for me!
