I wanted a simple soldering station that I could work on small electronics with but I also wanted it to be powered by a Milwaukee batter which I already have so many of.
I used an M18 battery adapter to get positive and negative from an m18 battery.
I purchased this Quicko T12 DC soldering station from Amazon to use in this project.
I designed a base to fit the Quicko soldering station, a metal brush off area, a soldering iron stand, the batter connection, and fifteen slots for extra tips.
I mounted the batter adapter with three bolts.
The holes for the additional tips fit perfectly.
The brush off area was super glued into the base and the soldering iron holder was bolted into the base.
This is the final product and it works wonderfully. This soldering station features a battery voltage cutoff, a sleep timer, a shutdown timer and a tilt sensor in the iron.
