The Challenge
BetaChallenges connect you with brands seeking your expertise through project requests or “bounties.” Submit a proposal quickly, as spots fill fast, and if selected, complete the project and publish it on Hackster to earn the payout. Outstanding submissions may also receive a cash bonus.
Calling designers and engineers currently working with Bluetooth audio to submit a concept/product proposal.
A successful proposal would include a full schematic design in Autodesk Fusion, integrating the Nordic nRF54L SoC, and a PCBA quote through PCBway. Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis, so pitch your idea NOW!
If you are awarded, PCBway will sponsor your PCBA build. You must verify the functionality of the prototype, do any necessary rework, and document your journey on Hackster project before solutions due deadline.
Once you deliver the final functioning solution on time, you will receive a payout of $1500.
This challenge suits you if :
- You are working on a product/hardware design that can stream audio from a phone or computer via Bluetooth to a set of speakers or headphones. You are looking to minimize latency and ensure a stable connection in a noisy RF environment.
- You are designing and implementing a Bluetooth audio system with ultra-low latency, suitable for applications like gaming or live performances.
- You are creating a system where a single audio source streams seamlessly to multiple Bluetooth devices (e.g., speakers or headphones) simultaneously. You are solving unique synchronization issues working with Bluetooth limitations and codec optimizations.
- You are working on active noise cancellation design and strategy utilizing microcontroller programming and integrating Bluetooth audio profiles.
- You are designing a Bluetooth audio transmitter or receiver optimized for low power consumption, for example: wearables or IoT devices.
- You are building a system that dynamically adjusts audio quality based on Bluetooth signal strength.
- You are implementing spatial audio capabilities in a Bluetooth audio system for a more immersive listening experience.
- You are developing a tool or app to monitor, analyze, and visualize Bluetooth audio quality metrics (e.g., latency, bitrate, codec, packet loss).
Nordic ships more than one million Bluetooth LE System-On-Chips (SoCs) every day and are the Bluetooth LE market leader. Nordic offers complete solutions for building LE Audio products.
Prizes
Once your proposal has been accepted, bring the Challenge to life and publish it on Hackster. Upon successful completion, you receive the payout. Plus, if your submission stands out as the best among the awarded contracts, you’ll get an additional cash bonus.
