The system consists of sensors, a microcontroller, actuators and a communication module which monitor and control several parameters of the growing chamber: temperature, water pH and light intensity. The sensors that we used in this research are the LM35 (temperature sensor), a pH sensor, and an LDR (light intensity sensor). The microcontroller was programmed using Arduino IDE. On the actuator, there are two relays that activate the ultrasonic mist maker and fan on specific cycle time intervals.
