Strange controller project

me and dionte greensword was thinking of a new way to play the guitar and play a game at the same time. but something thats not guitar hero, we wanted a strange controller. his love for super mario brothers and my intrest in the guitar got us together.

this is a bit more complex in work then it is just by saying the idea of it. I had dionte code the controls, and he did an excellent job. the controls are as follows:

Controls:

A1 - Left

A2 - Right

A3 - Jump

A4 - Action/Fireflower

A5 - Select

A6 - Pause

setting up the guitar was kind of difficult, some strings were smaller than others so I had to wrap aluminum foil around all the strings and wrapped my finger in the same foil to make it a bit easier. finally with a completed version of the guitar ready to go I played mario bros, it was really more difficult than I imagined. it was difficult because some cases you have to do multiple inputs at once and doing multiple inputs at once does not really work with the code we had. overall a great learning and playing experience.
