I like the recycling of electronic components that have already been retired and so today a remote control from an old HDMI switch is used and an infrared receiver that is still in its cable.
With this we will switch a 5V DC relay to which a separate 12V DC circuit is connected to switch a green LED strip on and off.
This article is intended to encourage you to go aside and not buy everything new.
Unfortunately I can no longer find the sketch. I'm sorry.
The challenges:
- Determination of the control codes of the remote control of buttons 2 (on) and 3 (off)
HDMI Switch - 3 Port Amplifier Selector - Remote Control
Key 1: "1373912347" + "4294967295"
Key 2: "2351064443" + "4294967295"
Key 3: "713627999" + "4294967295"
- For the assignment of the PINs, refer to the data sheet of an infrared receiver
- The connection of the trigger from Arduino A10 to the relay
