Laser Cut Name Tag

Goal

Laser cut two name tags to use for critiques, Include the class name and semester. Must be readable and have a design sense to them.  

My Project

First, I designed my name tag in Adobe Illustrator.  After getting all the relevant information on the name tag, I decided to add a little embellishment in the upper corners.  In order to make the name tag would stand, I also created triangles to glue to the back of the name tag.

I then laser cut everything and glued the name tag together.  The black wood created a nice contrast with the engraved lettering.  Next time, I may experiment with different background wood colors.
