Homework 06.02: Laser Cut Name Tag  

For my name tag project, I wanted to do something more than just a flat plaque so I made a conscious effort to design something 3D or something that would at least stand up.

I also wanted to do more than just include plain text in my design and so I went ahead and tried engraving an interesting image along side the text. Engraving was not as straight forward as I thought. During the first laser engrave run, the JPG image simply failed to engrave. I asked one of the Design Specialists at Jacob's Hall and he recommended vectoring the image or rasterizing the image. Thankfully, the vector-based image seemed to play well with the laser cutter
