This is a simple way to reclaim some heat from a dryer vent. The air gets very humid when the dryer first starts. Diverting this humid air to the inside of a house can cause moisture damage. The air heats up and as the clothes dry, the humidity goes down. This project will keep the diverter closed and venting outside while the air is hot and very humid. Once the humidity drops, the vent can be safely diverted into the house as warm air to help with the heating bills. Heat and humidity are all logged to Cayenne. It also alerts you by email when the dryer is finished as an added bonus.
