Install Code Composer Studio 10
Applicable for use with the TI-RSLK MAX or any MSP430 or MSP432 LaunchPad hardware. Time of installation may vary based on computer specs and internet connection speeds.
Step 1Download the CCS on-demand installer for your OS. (use the single file installer if you feel there may be difficulties with your firewall or anti-virus software)
Run the installation wizard
License agreement
System check (you may want to temporarily disable your anti-virus software, but likely the installation will go fine without this step)
Installation directory file path (you should use the default C:\ti folder because many TI software releases rely on this folder location)
Custom or Full Installation settings (Use custom to select only the hardware you are working with, which will save time)
=Important Step= Select components of the specific hardware you are working on. Keep in mind if you plan to work on any hardware that is not installed at this list, you will need to reinstall CCS to add the components. In this case select the MSP430 and MSP432 components at a minimum to work with the most popular LaunchPad boards. The more components you select, the longer the installation time.
Install debug probes (if you are using a LaunchPad then the debugger is included and no need to check any boxes, this option is just for using external hardware debuggers)
Begin the install
Finish and run Code Composer Studio 10 for the first time. Use the default workspace or designate your own. Update the software packages to get the latest versions and then restart CCS.
To Add Energia to CCS 10, File > New Energia Sketch and CCS will ask to specify the local installation location. You must have a local version of Energia unzipped that you can point Code Composer Studio where to find it.
