In these days where cost-effectiveness is a priority, we had to use only one detonator due to the size of the detonators provided by the competition we participated in for the rocket. When we tried to use two detonators, the diameter of our rocket increased and our costs went up. The main goal of our design was to make it compact enough to ensure that if a connection is lost in the system, the same detonator can fire the other systems. We used three cards with dimensions of 54*70 to implement the same schematic. When we tried to make a vertical single card for the same system, our costs increased significantly. Therefore, we divided the same schematic into parts and made it more compact. Additionally, we did not forget to make a sliding mechanism within our cards. Our cards use 2 ATmega328P processors, where the first one regulates the operation of our GPS and LoRa module while simultaneously receiving sensor data via I2C from the other ATmega328P. The second ATmega328P is capable of firing the detonators on the rocket based on the sensor data and sends data to the first ATmega328P. Our main objective while producing these cards was to ensure that it can perform the most work with the least cost.
