- The project is developed with accessibility, accuracy, and affordability of the detection test undertaken in the COVID-19 virus.
The paper centrifuge is a toy with cutting edge integration of physics.
- It has the ability to show 125,000 RPM exerting whooping 30,000 g force on the sample.
- The centrifugal force forces the blood to fractionate in layers density wise, clearly displaying the blood profile of the person.
- Then the ratio of the different layers(differentiated by different shades) can be examined to detect the abnormality in the composition of blood and only the suspected cases can be further tested by the more complex methods.
- The project first requires the blood profile of the infected against which the samples could be compared like in malaria as shown above.
- The project underlays three ideas -
- 1)The toy can be made at home and the government provides the glass capillaries s that tests can be done at home itself just by spinning off the disc for 7 minutes or more,then those capillaries with a scale can be taken to the nearest lab for examination.
- 2)the same model as above is implemented with even examination done at home provided that proper information about blood profile is provided to people so that they themselves examine their blood profile and report to the authority.
- 3)The same model as above can be used but with application support so that the test,examining can be done under proper surveillance and doesn't leave scope for error.
- It would be beneficial for the areas with scarce resources and would surely suppress the extent of the outbreak since detection is the primary step of the treatment.
